Are You Using the Latest Internet Browser?

This month sees the release of the Firefox 3 internet browser. e4 have been using Firefox for a long time now, due to its secure functionality and standards-compliant rendering of web pages.

Any clients currently using Firefox are recommended to get the latest version. Our long-term plan is to migrate our SkillStation/e4 web site code to be fully compliant with emerging accessibility laws. Unfortunately at present only a handful of the modern browsers support this functionality, so please upgrade your browsers and keep up to date with internet developments!

For Internet Explorer users, the latest version is version 7. Microsoft have recently made available a beta-test release of version 8, that will be released in late 2008.

Again, if you use Internet Explorer, please ensure you have the most recent release in order to get maximum use from our products!

SkillStation Age & Gender Distribution Reports

Today e4 have launched another high-value report for our SkillStation product. The Age/Gender Distribution Report will show age and distributions across either the entire organisation, or across any subdivision.

This tool will be useful for those undertaking succession planning, and will help in proactively identifying risks to your organisation.

The report can also assist administator users to help comply with equal opportunity regulations.

Training Feedback Form functionality within SkillStation

We have just added a powerful feedback and evaluation process to our SkillStation product. This allows learners/students to provide feedback within the online SkillStation environment.

Each submitted evaluation is stored within SkillStation and can be accessed by the administrator(s) in charge of the appropriate skill. The most impressive feature however is the ability to report on all submitted forms, providing visibilty on opinions across the entire workforce (or any specific department etc)! This can even be linked to specific training providers, so you know whether your organisation & staff members are getting value for money when using external training companies.

All feedback is stored within SkillStation along with all other Training and Development data, making this a ‘One Stop Shop’ for all of your Training & Development activity and staff competency data. This is a brilliant support tool for customer audits etc.

New SkillStation Succession Planning Report

October will see the launch of a new report within the SkillStation product. The new Succession Planning Report will find employees who can fill skill gaps, and will run against a specific department, or across the entire organisation.

This useful new feature will be available for free to all SkillStation licence holders, and demonstrates SkillStation as the key tool for managing competence in your organisation.

Manual Handling Quiz

We have now added a multiple-choice quiz to our Manual Handling e-learning module. Users can now now take this quiz through their own SkillStation user account page, and can also print their own certificate upon reaching the target level.

This quiz is now available to all existing users of the Manual Handling module, at no additional charge.

More New SkillStation Features!

Based on valuable customer feedback, we have now added the ability within SkillStation to print certificates. SkillStation can now automatically create certificates that demonstrate competency or understanding for a given skill, using our blank certificate template.
