SkillStation goes International
We are pleased to present the latest of our SkillStation Competency Management System.
This latest release sees a large proportion of the software translated into Norwegian for our latest client, Vestfold Kompetanse, based in Horten, Norway.
This is the first time SkillStation has been enhanced to recognise foreign languages, currencies, number formats and dates, and it will allow us to easily enhance the software further, to account for other countries as required in the future.
We look forward to working with the staff at Vestfold Kompetanse.

Engineering Clusters (EC) County Durham is a unique collaboration and partnership between Derwentside, South and East Durham Engineering Forums. They help shape a brighter and sustainable future for Engineering & Manufacturing in County Durham by working closely with both regional and national stakeholders.
e4 Managing Director Darren Race also assisted in organising the event. He enjoyed participating in the opening address to over 500 companies.
Oktoberfest 2009 was a great success for all involved, and we would like to thank those who came to view SkillStation.

e4 help to launch the 'In Our Image' sculpture
Darren Race, Managing Director of e4 Learning Solutions and Chairman of both SDEMF and SDBN spoke at the official launch of 'In Our Image'.
In Our Image is the new landmark gateway feature, commissioned to celebrate the regeneration and re-branding of Aycliffe Business Park, and promote commerce and industry.
Darren commented that South Durham lacked an iconic local landmark to anchor our identity. When setting up the two forums we struggled to find a suitable image representing the local area to use on local websites and promotional material. It's great to see the sculpture in-place, which provides an iconic image for South Durham.
The installation of In Our Image comes at the conclusion of a three year programme of investment at Aycliffe Business Park in recognition of the contribution that it makes to the local and regional economy. The towering head and shoulders sculpture has become the gateway feature for the Aycliffe Business Park.
At 16 metres tall, it is only four metres shorter than the iconic Angel of the North in Gateshead, and is six metres taller than the Bottle of Notes featured in Middlesbrough.
Aycliffe Business Park is the second largest of its kind in the North East.

SkillStation allows for Powerful Regional Reporting
This month we are pleased to make available our latest SkillStation enhancements. These powerful new features allow clients to perform reports on a regional level.
Regions can be defined as any geographical area that is required by clients, so a region may be defined as a county, a country, or a custom group of sites.
Regional reporting allows reports to provide useful information such as:
- How many competent Engineers does the company employ in the North of England?
- What is the proportion of competent versus not-competent staff in all our sites?
- Who is the next best employee to succeed our Managing Director, who is currently based in the UK?
- Which one of our global sites invests the most time and money into staff development each year?
Customers using SkillStation receive all new enhancements free of charge, as part of the annual maintenance agreement.
